Matthias Hoffmann, CEO of Prime Time Entertainment AG, not only counts as one of the most economically successful, but also as one of the most creative producers and event promoters. Far beyond Germany’s borders, he has a reputation for discovering new things and for successfully implementing them on the market. Again and again, he has been able to work with outstanding artists in creating successful trends that yield economic profits because of their ability to sweep away large audiences. After initially organizing pop concerts – the first at the age of 19 – in 1985 he began turning classical open-air concerts into events that attracted tens of thousands of people. Over one million viewers attended the concerts of the “Three Tenors”, which he staged all over the world. Plàcido Domingo called him the “best concert promoter in the world”. And his ability to set trends was demonstrated once again by the production of his dinner shows with Eckhart Witzigmann. His entrepreneurial involvement in André Heller’s AFRIKA! AFRIKA! has proven to be fascinating to this day.

Selected undertakings

1971	Foundation of Hoffmann Konzerte GmbH; 5000 concerts and 12 million visitors through 1996.
1984	Organisation of Pope’s visit to Speyer, Germany.
1985	First major classical open-air concert in Germany; 25,000 visitors came to the Schwezinger Schlosspark in order to hear Yehudi Menuhin under the direction of Justus Frantz. Production and promotion of over 600 classical concerts through 1996, including concerts featuring J. Carrerars, P. Domingo, and Montserrat Caballé, amongst others.
1989	Organisation of a world tour with the Chinese State Circus as staged by André Heller.
1990	Foundation of the CTS ticketing agency; sold 1996.
1993	Foundation of Hoffmann Concerts Inc. in New York City with locations in London and Vienna; over 200 concerts.
1994	World tour of the "Three Tenors"; 13 concerts with 1 million visitors.
2000	Foundation of Deutsche Arena GmbH & Co. KG, which produces and promotes the "Eckart Witzigmann Palazzo" dinner show from 2001 to 2006.
2004	Foundation of Afrikanische Zirkus GmbH for the production of AFRIKA! AFRIKA!
2005	World premiere of André Heller’s AFRIKA! AFRIKA!: The magical circus adventure from the continent of wonder.
2007	Foundation of Prime Time Entertainment AG.
