Prime Time Entertainment AG announces change in supervisory board
The shareholders’ meeting of Prime Time Entertainment AG, held on 3 March 2008, has appointed Mr. Brian Cook and Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Freiherr von Rosen as new members of the supervisory board. The replacement did not come unexpected as the mandates of the two former supervisory board members Dr. Jochen Scheel and Dr. Jörg Ritter were only intended for the company’s founding phase. “I would like to thank Dr. Jochen Scheel and Dr. Jörg Ritter for a successful collaboration over the recent years. They have both considerably supported the future orientation of Prime Time Entertainment AG”, said the company’s CEO, Matthias Hoffmann.
The new chairman of the supervisory board Mr. Brian Cook began his professional career in 1980 as Private Equity Principal for Odyssey Partners L.P. in New York where he helped various companies reorganize their capital structure, process M&A transactions and go public in the US and Germany. After that, Brian Cook worked as General Manager at the BHF Bank in New York and as Managing Director at Credit Suisse First Boston (Europe) Ltd. where he also headed the bank’s Corporate Banking before he joined the management of KirchHolding. In 2002, Brian Cook became partner and CFO at Cable Partners Europe, a cable network provider with holdings in Germany, Spain and Belgium. Furthermore he was a member of the Audit Committee of the Telenet Group Holding N.V. and worked as a freelance advisor for management boards in various holdings of private equity companies. Last, Brian Cook served as CFO on the board of Versatel AG.
Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Freiherr von Rosen has been managing board director of Deutsches Aktieninstitut e.V. in Frankfurt/Main since 1995. Before that he was a member of the executive boards of Deutsche Börse AG, the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Wertpapierbörsen and the German Central Bank.
Jens Röhrborn will remain a member of the supervisory board. Initially, the attorney-at-law worked for the American law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan in New York and Washington D.C. before he and two of his colleagues founded their own law firm in 1995. Jens Röhrborn specializes in corporate, securities and capital markets. As an advisor he accompanied and advised on numerous transactions of international companies. Since 2003, he has been managing partner of the Munich office of the Denver-based law firm Holme Roberts & Owen LLP.

Press Release On The Foundation Of Prime Time Entertainment
Prime Time Entertainment AG – the expansion of success
Producer and organiser Matthias Hoffmann is celebrating the record-breaking success of his circus event AFRIKA! AFRIKA!. To ensure further growth potential in the expanding international market of high-quality entertainment, he has now united his various companies under the umbrella of Prime Time Entertainment AG.
Matthias Hoffmann is the founder of Prime Time Entertainment AG. The company, based in Mörfelden near Frankfurt, develops and produces live entertainment projects as well as large TV events. Unusual for the entertainment branch, Prime Time Entertainment AG has access to the entire marketing and value chain: from brainstorming, the conception and creative implementation to event management, including catering and merchandising. Furthermore, the marketing and usage rights of all projects in operation are solely reserved by Prime Time Entertainment AG.
In maintaining these USPs, the company has bundled all of Matthias Hoffmanns’s previous successes. Already in 2000, his Deutsche Arena GmbH & Co. KG counted among the market leaders. With the production of “Eckhart Witzigmann Palazzo“, the firm ranked among the best German dinner shows, until the product was sold in 2006. Since 2004, this success has been topped by the Afrikanische Zirkus GmbH. André Heller’s creation AFRIKA! AFRIKA! became one of the most successful circus shows in the history of the company.
The initial investment of six million Euro was earned back after only six months. In its second year, in in 2006/07, the annual turnover amounted to 40 million Euro. For the next two years, the company’s aim is another doubling of turnover. Meanwhile, due to the increasing international demand, a second edition of the show has been produced, which is also very successful. The currently 560 artists and staff will be raised to 600 over the coming months. The world tour has begun this fall, after first successfully completed shows in Graz, Vienna and Zurich. First shows include Amsterdam and Munich, to be followed by London, Paris, Spain, Asia and North America in the coming years. There are fixed bookings until 2011.
Prime Time Entertainment AG was founded to create a powerful, organisational framework for further project planning and expansion. Part of the umbrella company are Afrikanische Zirkus GmbH and Deutsche Arena GmbH & Co. KG. Besides the international placing and marketing of AFRIKA! AFRIKA! Prime Time Entertainment AG will use its experience and expertise to develop new spectacular projects for the high-quality entertainment sector. Possibilities range from musical or artistic shows to event museums and theme parks.
Like Cirque du Soleil Prime Time Entertainment AG places itself within a market which is characterised by highly increasing audience expectations. Particularly in industrialized countries there is a generally heightened desire to fill the continually reduced free time with extraordinary events. Already today we can expect a market volume which, in Europe alone, amounts to an estimated 20 billion Euro. “For Prime Time Entertainment AG“, says Matthias Hoffmann, “it is a cultural and business task, and a challenge that we are fully prepared to embrace.“
